Basic Questions
Where are your leather suits manufactured?
Our products are manufactured in our own facility in the heart of Pakistan.
The reason for this: Significantly lower labor costs and direct access to the world's largest leather market. Quality control and shipping, however, are naturally handled from Germany. You won't incur any additional customs fees or similar charges within Germany.
Can I visit you in person?
Our store in 42551 Velbert is open for you Mon. - Sat. from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM (By appointment!). We strongly recommend everyone to visit us to have measurements taken, create the design together, and get inspired by our display models. Please note, however, that due to time constraints, it's necessary to schedule an appointment with us in advance.
Can you also install airbag systems?
We currently don't offer airbag systems ourselves and don't install them. However, our leather suits can be prepared for a third-party airbag vest. This means when submitting your measurements, you also provide measurements while wearing an airbag vest. We also place additional stretch panels in the suit. This ensures proper deployment of the vest.
What happens if it doesn't fit?
If your order doesn't fit correctly, first check the measurements you submitted for errors. Basically, we transfer your measurements 1 to 1 and don't add any extras. If the error originated from us, photograph the incorrect measurements on your order and send them to us via the contact form so we can document it.
You will then naturally receive a free replacement.
How can I contact you?
Use the contact form or call us at: +49 (0) 2051 9628644. Please note that we have limited phone availability.
Can you sponsor me?
We're always happy about new partnerships.
Feel free to send us your social media account or other references via the contact form. We'll then discuss the next steps. Please note, however, that our capacity is currently not sufficient to provide free leather suits.
Why are you so affordable?
Our philosophy is to make safe and perfectly fitting protective gear accessible to everyone at an affordable price. We are passionate motorcyclists ourselves and know what matters. Whether you need your first suit for riding school or your latest one for the racetrack. Everyone should be able to wear their unique Racecoat. Therefore, size and weight don't matter to us.
How is your quality?
If we said we're the best on the market, that would certainly be a lie. But we evolve with every order and improve the most critical points. Racecoat is also a community where your career as a motorcyclist is followed hand in hand.
I'm a special case!
With us, everyone is a special case and treated as such. Every order is unique and is sold only once with its design. We completely customize your order according to your wishes. We can also easily accommodate physical limitations. So if you're missing fingers, for example, your gloves will be adapted accordingly. Even with missing limbs, we completely customize your order to you.
Taking Measurements
What do I need?
When taking your measurements, you only need a standard household measuring tape. Our Guideline will then explain all further steps step by step.
How do I take my measurements?
You can decide for yourself how you take your measurements to determine the fit of your order. However, it's important that all your measurements related to lengths are always accurate. For circumferences, you can freely decide whether your order should fit sportily tight or if you want to add a few millimeters for comfort.
Also take your measurements in the worst-case scenario. This means if you want to wear your order with functional underwear, also take measurements with the underwear on. Same goes for an existing airbag vest.
By the way, you usually won't need an additional protector vest or similar with our suits.
Why should I include pictures of my physique?
Pictures usually say more than a thousand words. Therefore, it naturally helps us understand your measurements better if we have an overview of you beforehand.
I don't trust myself to do it!
First take a look at our Guideline before giving up right away. It's really easy to understand and pretty much error-proof to follow. If you still need support beyond that, you can contact us and we'll help you by phone or with a video call. Alternatively, you can of course also go to a tailor you trust. They usually take measurements for you free of charge or for a small fee.
Configurations
What's the difference between kangaroo and cowhide leather?
Kangaroo leather is more tear-resistant than cowhide at the same thickness. However, we offer kangaroo leather at a thickness of 1.2mm and cowhide at 1.4mm. So basically, both types of leather are equally tear-resistant and thus equally safe with us. However, the decisive difference arises because due to the thinner leather layer with kangaroo leather, the suit/gloves are noticeably lighter. You save about 15% in weight with your leather suit, which might not sound like much at first, but in practice turns a 10 kilogram leather suit into an 8.5 kilogram one.
Furthermore, kangaroo leather has the great advantage that the leather is significantly softer. This leads to the positive characteristic of much more comfortable wearing.
What's the purpose of the hump on a leather suit?
The hump on a leather suit has two main characteristics.
Due to aerodynamics (air turbulence behind the helmet), it helps minimize head wobbling at high speeds.
Far more importance was attached to the gain in passive safety. For one, in an accident the head is braked when overextending backward, hence the steep arrangement of the hump. At the same time, in conjunction with the back protector, it acts as a shock absorber. This means: In a rear impact of the rider, the occurring forces no longer concentrate solely on the helmet and thus reduce the risk of head injuries.
A small bonus on top would certainly also be the optics and associated design.
Does the hip protector make sense?
Yes, especially in accidents you quickly slide sideways into foreign objects. The hip protector then absorbs most of the force to prevent a pelvic fracture. Because there's nothing worse than not being able to move for months.
Our hip protectors have CE Level 2 certification and can be removed from the suit if needed.
What's the purpose of the belly protector?
Actually, the belly protector is more optical than protective. Sure, it can also be advantageous in rare situations. But mainly it provides a certain sportiness to the design. The PU hard foam is cut into individual plates and firmly sewn to the leather suit.
Does the collarbone protector make sense?
We naturally want to protect every vulnerable bone in our body. The collarbone protector is made from PU hard foam plates and protects against impacts. A broken collarbone is one of the less painful fractures that can occur in an accident. Nevertheless, it's certainly an investment for the future.
What's the chest protector for?
We mainly know it from the off-road sector. The chest protector is mostly seen with an enduro or supermoto. It provides protection against tree trunks or other foreign objects that come your way. But it can certainly make sense on the street too. Our chest protector can also be removed if needed and doesn't interfere with riding. Those who don't want to do without complete protection should certainly not neglect this protector.
What is perforation?
Perforation is the punching of holes in a piece of leather. This provides air intake to allow some climate control at the application site. A disadvantage that arises is naturally the loss of water resistance. Perforation can be done at any desired location. However, we don't recommend applying it to friction surfaces like the buttocks or side surfaces.
Perforation naturally also results in a percentage loss of the leather's protective surface.
Is the drinking system removable?
Yes, the system can be removed in a few seconds. This allows cleaning without problems. A replacement system can also be ordered.
What can I do with the knee sliders?
Our knee sliders are available in more than 10 basic colors. If you decide on customization, instead of our wolf logo, space will be created for you to print your own logo on it.
What's the finger bridge on gloves for?
The little finger is exposed and has the least strength. That's why you quickly injure yourself here. The finger bridge provides additional protection here. Additional protectors are installed on the glove and the connection to the ring finger provides additional support.
Order Process
How can I place an order?

How long does it take until I receive my draft?
This naturally always depends on our order volume. Normally, however, you'll receive your individual draft within 3 working days. During peak seasons, it can take up to 14 days. But don't worry, we won't forget you! Nevertheless, feel free to inquire about your draft again. If time is critical, prioritization is possible.
Can I watch while the draft is being created?
Yes, that's possible! Feel free to schedule an appointment with us where we create your draft together. In most cases, this is done via the app: AnyDesk or TeamViewer, to enable transmission of our work.
I want to design my order myself!
If our graphic designers aren't needed, you can naturally also design your suit yourself. Please use our Guideline for this and send us your created draft via email.
Do you also offer installment payments?
We offer a 3-month installment payment. The first installment is due upon ordering, the remaining installments follow in the next two months. More info
